DETAILS
This hat was designed to be worn with the Samantha Scarf. Both items were designed with Red Heart Hygge yarn, and I believe this yarn makes it very soft, cozy, and squishy. The hat is very simple while still being cute and warm. It looks great with and without a pom pom making it a very versatile knit perfect for everyday wear and gift knitting.
The Samantha Hat is knit seamlessly with a simple and mindless pattern. The texture shows off the yarn and gives the perfect amount of squish. It would be the perfect first pattern for a second knitting project.
SIZES
One size fits most
You can add rows to the body of the hat for a slouchier fit.
DIFFICULTY
Beginner: You will need to know how to cast on, knit, purl, work in the round, slip stitches, knit two together, and slip slip knit.
YARN
Size 5 bulky yarn, such as Red Heart Hygge
Approximately 150 yards; I used less than half of a skein. You can make the hat and scarf with two skeins of Red Heart Hygge. I’d suggest making the hat first because the size of the scarf is easier to alter, if you are worried about running out.
OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED:
US 11 (8.00 mm) 16″ circular needles, or longer if you’re willing to do magic loop
US 10 1/2 (6.5mm) 16″ circular needles- OPTIONAL
